Circle 8 had a great year all because of everyone’s outstanding support! Thank You! Our annual meeting will be Aug 7, 2022 at the Park City Senior Center at 1pm. We invite and encourage all club members to attend for socializing and to help guide your club and officers to another successful year. Annual dues will be collected as well as Happy Tracks subscriptions for the coming year.
The club members are hosting with a taco bar, so bring your appetite!

Bring your punch cards to Circle 8 dance on May 8! We want to reward you for attending our dances through the year by entering each filled card for a chance to win prizes throughout the evening. Lots of prizes to be one. If winning is not enough, lets have fun with Tammy Gough calling squares and Mike Turning cueing the rounds!
The fun starts at 5:30 for pre-rounds with Mike and 6:00 pm for Squares with Tammy.

Circle 8 is having a special dance on April 24 with Jim Howard from Oklahoma City. For those that have never danced to Jim, they are in for a treat. We are doing something special also this dance. Instead of pre-rounds, Jim will be leading us with Hexagon Squares – six couple dancing.

So join us at 5:30, April 24, 2022 for hexagon squares with Jim, then the mainstream (with two plus tips) will start at 6:00pm. We are dancing at the Park City Senior center in Park City, Kansas — just North of Wichita, KS.

Circle 8 will not be having a dance on April 10 because we all will be enjoying the weekend at the 2022 Wichita Spring Festival. This years Spring Festival kicks off at 6:00pm on Friday with Advance rounds presented by our local cuers. Plus dancing with our local callers starts at 7:00pm and Mainstream with Rounds starts at 8:00pm.

Saturday morning, round dancers can enjoy the featured cuers of Paul and Linda Robinson with teaches starting at 9:00am. Square dancing with the featured caller Scott Bennett begins with Plus dancing and workshop starting at 12:30pm. Square dancing and rounds continues into the evening.

Dancing is at the Westside Church of God. 1900 West McCormick, Wichita, KS.

Sunday, March 27 be sure to show up early as Circle 8 will be hosting a full afternoon and evening a great dancing opportunities. From 2:00-4:30pm, Circle 8 is hosting the Gold district tenderfoot dance. All new dancers can attend for free and dance to area callers and cuers. It is a great opportunity to meet the new dancers and dance to some callers you may not have heard yet.

At 5:30pm, Circle 8’s regular dance starts with Kevin Denning providing pre-rounds. You may even be able to dance to Diane as well! At 6:00-8:30pm, Jonathan Marshall from Oklahoma City will be sharing his calling talent with same great dancing tips with more rounds in between.

Finally, we have not left out dinner. During the hour break between the tenderfoot and the dance, Circle 8 members are hosting a chili feed. Free will donations are accepted with the proceeds being used for drawings for the Spring Festival admission tickets. The more donations, the more ticket drawings! You must be present to win, and to also enjoy some great chili and fixins’.

Also remember, this is the start of Daylight savings time, so please ensure your clocks are set forward so you won’t be late. Rounds with Kevin start at 5:30, while squares with Mike begin at 6pm. Circle 8 hosted a great dance on February 27 where many new dancers were welcomed into our activity. A fun time was enjoyed by all.

Circle 8 invites everyone to the 2021 New Years Eve dance. Join us for a fun evening of dancing with Tammy Gough calling the squares for the evening. This year will include some fun games throughout the evening as well as we celebrate our 75th anniversary as a club. A delicious breakfast will be served at 12am as we ring in the New Year for 2022!

Remember the “guess the items in the bags”? There will be many more for guesses for prizes.

Circle 8 continues celebrating 75 years as Square dance club by hosting a dance with Allen Hahn calling and Kevin Denning cueing the rounds. Allen is calling in place of Sheldon, who was unable to call our dance. Join us for a fun with pre-rounds starting at 5:30 and squares starting at 6pm at the Park City Senior Center in Park City, KS — just North of Wichita on I-135. Oh, and bring your punch cards (Remember, every card with 5 dances marked is can be entered into a drawing at our New Years Eve dance.
